Budget Gaming PC

You don't really need $1000 to get a good gaming PC, if you are looking for a budget gaming pc then you have come to the right place! This build can play modern games medium to high for less than $500! If you are going to buy a pc, I don't recommend pre-built pc's because there are pros and cons and I recommend you to build your own. Building a pc doesn't require extensive knowledge about hardware, there's a lot of youtube videos about assembling pc. Now let's get started!
The parts you need are:
  • Processor
  • Motherboard
  • Ram
  • HDD
  • Video card(recommended for gaming)
  • Case
  • Optical drive or DVD drive
  • Power Supply
  1. For the processor I chose this one because it's architecture is based on Sandy Bridge and it is very energy efficient. I know the celerons before is crap but trust this one, it's enough for a $48 processor to play modern games. I recommend an i3 though.
  2. I chose this for the motherboard, well the motherboard doesn't really needs to be expensive but I do recommend getting a Z68 chipset motherboard for future upgrades but again this build is for super cheap gaming pc.
  3. Now the ram, this 4gb ram is more than enough to play games and to take advantage of the dual channel of the motherboard. The color also match our motherboard.
  4. For the harddrive I chose this one, 500gb is enough for alot of games. SSD's are more common in the market and I recommend it because it's so much faster than regular HDD's but again this is for cheap build pc.
  5. This video card is enough to play modern games medium to high, I prefer AMD over Nvidia for energy efficiency because amd cards use less energy. If you have the money, go for the 6850 video card but if you are on a tight bugdet, this card is enough.
  6. If you have your own case then use that, but I chose this because it's cheap. But there's a lot of other cheap cases in there although I recommend cases with a good airflow but it's really up to you.
  7. For the dvd drive, this is enough. You only need it for installing OS and installing games but if you like to burn or back up games, this is capable of that.
  8. The psu or power supply plays a very important role in the system because the whole build draws power from it and the psu must have enough power to supply them. This psu is enough to power the whole build.
Now let's breakdown the prices:
Processor: Intel Celeron G530 Sandy Bridge 2.4GHz - $48.99
Motherboard: ASUS P8H61-M LX PLUS R2.0 - $65.99
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)  DDR3  DDR3 1333 - $28.99
HDD: Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB - $69.99
Videocard: SAPPHIRE Ultimate Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 - $84.99
Case: GIGABYTE GZ-F5HEB Black - $21.99
ODD: SAMSUNG DVD Burner 24X - $17.99
PSU: hec Orion XPOWER585 585W - $29.99
For a total of :  $368.92!!

Note:
 Prices may vary.

Our build only cost $368.92! Very cheap eh? All prices are based on Newegg and some of the parts has rebates and it may be cheaper. If you have $500, this build is good for you and you have an extra $$$ to spend for a better videocard, better processor, more ram,  18" or 22" monitor, keyboard and mouse, or maybe a desk. But then again this is only a reference for cheap gaming pc and I'm not endorsing any of the products stated above. Just leave a comment if you have any questions and I'll be glad to answer. I hope I've helped for those looking for a cheap gaming pc!
